摘要
Direct iodination of a variety of aromatic compounds is achieved by using nitrogen dioxide as an oxidant in addition to iodine. The reaction affords aromatic monoidodides in high yields with high para-regioselectivity. 4,4'-Diiodo binuclear compounds are also obtained effectively by controlling the stoichiometry.
