On the suppression of electron-induced low-energy (<10 eV) O+ ions emission by alkali-metal and noble metal monolayers

摘要
On the basis of a simple model of an adsorption system, the attenuation cross-sections of low-energy (<10eV) O+ ions in transmission through alkali-metal and noble metal monolayers are calculated Both elastic and inelastic channels are taken into account. The calculated results for the alkali-metal overlayers are in good agreement with the experimental data. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science B.V.
