Cyclodextrins (CDs) were found to form inclusion complexes with various low molecular weight compounds. Two such cyclodextrins, β-CD and γ-CD were found to form complexes with poly(dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS). Contrary to this, α-CD did not form any complex with PDMS. The chain-length selectivities were totally different between β-CD and γ-CD.
