摘要
The reductive leaching of manganese from oxidised manganese ores has been investigated. Preliminary mechanical activation of concentrate was used for increasing manganese extraction. A two-stage leaching with additional grinding of insoluble residue after the first-stage leaching was also carried out for this purpose. Recovery of 98.6-98.9% Mn in solution was achieved in both cases. The purification of solution by a sorption technique was effectively used. Electrolytic grade gamma-MnO2 with a few impurities was obtained. Cells using the manganese dioxide so produced were prepared and tested. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
