Structures and oxide mobility in Bi-Ln-O materials:: Heritage of Bi2O3

摘要
A review is given of the lanthanide bismuth based oxides family which exhibits a wide diversity of phases with a common Bi2O3-related structure that is either stable or metastable at moderate or low temperature. Topics discussed include Bi2O3 polymorphishm, Bi1-xLnxO1.5 stable α- and δ-phases, Bi1-xLnxO1.5 β and δ metastable phases, Bi1-xLnxO1.5 rhombohedral Bi-Sr-O type phases (Ln = La-Er, Y), orthorhombic Bi17Ln7O36 type phases (Ln = Tm-Lu), ordered cubic Bi5Ln3O12 type phases (Ln = Sm-Yb), triclinic BiLnO3 type phases (Ln = Dy-Lu, Y) and Bi1-xLnxO1.5 phases (x ≥ 0.5; Ln = La-Ho, Y).
