摘要
Sensitization to aeroallergens is a risk factor for the development of asthma in children and adults and ongoing exposure perpetuates the symptoms. Sensitivity to indoor allergens (house dust mites, pet dander, and cockroaches) and to the fungus Alternaria is most closely linked to these processes. Exposure avoidance and reduction have been shown significantly to improve asthma symptoms. Implementation of methods to achieve these results is an important part of asthma therapy.
