摘要
URuAl exhibits a nonmagnetic ground state. When Ru is substituted by Rh or Al by Sn, ferromagnetism appears in URu1-xRhxAl and URuAl1-ySny for relatively low Rh and Sn concentrations. This result can be explained by the reduced 5f-ligand hybridisation due to the increasing population of 4d states in the former case and the increased inter-atomic separation in the latter. The effect of pressure on the Curie temperature of URuSn corroborates this picture.
