摘要：

Rapid advances in digital technologies in recent years, from new media to virtual reality (VR) and high-speed networks, have offered heritage new hope. The forward march of technology has quietly enabled a second wave of VR applications, with reality finally beginning to live up to its title role. Digital tools and techniques now emerging from academic, government, and industry labs offer new hope in cultural heritage. A glimpse at a few of the emerging trends in virtual heritage are discussed.
