摘要
A prospective study was carried out to test the hypothesis that cognitive state would reliably predict achieved mobility following standard limb fitting and rehabilitation practices. A high correlation was established between scores on a test of intellectual ability administered within four weeks of the amputation and again at about 12 months post operation, by which time final mobility has been achieved. There was a significant correlation between intellectual ability and final ability.
