摘要
Percutaneous core breast biopsy under stereotactic or ultrasound guidance is a highly accurate procedure that is faster, less invasive and less expensive than surgical biopsy, and does not cause deformity in the breast. This article reviews clinical management issues in percutaneous core breast biopsy, including patient selection, equipment and technique, complete excision versus sampling, epithelial displacement, and management after percutaneous core biopsy of the breast.
