摘要
In an attempt to elucidate the effect of mixing in high-shear regimens on the extent of enzymatic hydrolysis of cellulosic substrates, cellulose was hydrolyzed using a commercial cellulase preparation at various enzyme concentrations and by three agitation regimens. The activity of cellulase decreased with increasing agitation rate and elapsed mixing time. The effect of shear on enzyme denaturation decreased with increasing enzyme concentration.
