摘要
Volume decorrelation is a phenomenon affecting the synthetic aperture radar (SAR) interferometric coherence images in the presence of forests or buildings. 'Resolving' this effect could lead to an estimation of the height of the observed distributed scatterers. An empirical method is suggested to distinguish volume decorrelation due to random volumes (such as trees) and stationary distributed targets (such as man-made artifacts) when polarimetric SAR data are used.
