Efficient laser performance of Nd:YAG at 946 nm and intracavity frequency doubling with LiJO3, β-BaB2O4, and LiB3O5

摘要
Efficient cw room temperature laser performance at 946 nm and frequency doubling into the blue spectral region has been achieved by using a composite Nd:YAG laser rod end pumped by two coupled beamshaped 20 W laser diode bars. An output power of 5.7 W at the fundamental wavelength was obtained. Intracavity frequency doubling with LiJO(3), beta-BaB2O4, and LiB3O5 yielded a maximum output power of 550 mW at 473 nm with beta-BaB2O4 as the nonlinear crystal.
