2.6 Gbit/s dense WDM transmission in standard fibre using directly-modulated fibre grating lasers

摘要
Low-penalty WDM transmission of three densely-spaced (0.12-0.6 nm) directly-modulated fibre grating lasers at 2.6Gbit/s over 117km of standard singlemode fibre is reported. for the first rime. WDM transmission experiments show that fibre grating lasers operate error-free over a wider temperature range than externally modulated DFB lasers.
