摘要
The structural, magnetic and magnetostrictive properties of polycrystalline Fe-15 a%Ga, Fe-20 a%Ga and Fe-27 a% Ga alloys were investigated. The alloys exhibited large low-field magnetostriction compared to or higher than Fe-Al alloys. The addition of Ga enhanced the magnetostriction of Fe. Results indicated that an excellent combination of strength and ductility can be obtained in Fe-Ga body-centered cubic terminal solution alloys containing up to 20 a% Ga.
