Accurate values of prolate spheroidal radial functions of the second kind

摘要
The prolate spheroidal radial functions of the second kind have recently been computed with a full precision accuracy, in particular, for thin prolate spheroids with the use of the rapidly convergent expansion near the singular point xi = 1. By utilizing this newly developed analytical expression, the prolate spheroidal radial functions were recalculated. The table for the prolate spheroidal radial functions of the second kind compiled by Flammer in 1957 was found to be inaccurate.
