摘要：
The results and clinical implications of the Veterans Affairs HDL Intervention Trial are discussed, This trial showed that gemfibrozil was efficacious for the secondary prevention of coronary heart disease in men with a high prevalence of features of the metabolic syndrome and who had low high-density and low low-density lipoprotein cholesterol.
