40Gbit/s wavelength conversion over 24.6nm using FWM in a semiconductor optical amplifier with an optimised MQW active region

摘要
An MQW SOA which has been designed for four-wave-mixing (FWM) applications is reported. In 40Gbit/s system experiments, a 2mm device was able to perform wavelength conversion over 24.6nm. This is the largest reported wavelength translation at 40Gbit/s FWM in an SOA.
