摘要
In view of the fact that many organic devices rely on amorphous organic materials, thermal stability is critical in many device applications. This paper reviews the important class of spiro compound as organic molecular materials with high glass transition temperature (Tg) that evolved as a very promising approach for optoelectronic materials. Focus is on compounds based on the spirobifluorene core. The synthesis of these materials as well as their utility in controlling their optical and electronic properties application in organic devices are discussed.
