The perimenopausal period is a biologically vulnerable time, especially for women who have a history of depression associated with childbearing or the premenstruum. What help can you offer women who are struggling with negative feelings? When does hormone therapy make a difference, and when should other options be considered? Drs Dell and Stewart review the literature and explain various plans that might benefit women during this sometimes difficult period of their lives.
