摘要
We investigated the recombination dynamics of polarons in a bulk heterojunction MDMO-PPV/PCBM solar cell on flexible plastic substrates (PET) by means of photoinduced absorption spectroscopy. This cell gives 3% AM 1.5 power conversion efficiency. The mean polaron lifetime was deduced from measurements of photoinduced signal at different chopper frequencies. Further on, the influence of an applied electric field on the mean polaron lifetime was studied. It was found, it decreases with increasing external voltage. This decrease is a consequence of the transport of the charge carriers to and their discharge at the electrodes. We propose a simple model to describe this phenomenon, from which the polaron mobility was calculated. (C) 2004 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
