Static and dynamic strain aging in 304 austenitic stainless steel at elevated temperatures

摘要
The effects of temperature, strain rate, pass strain and interruption time on the characteristics of static and dynamic strain aging in a 304 stainless steel were studied. As a result, the role of the substitutional elements at temperatures considerably higher than those normally employed was determined. By measuring the fractional softening, some insight into the influence of dislocation density on aging behavior at these elevated temperatures was obtained.
