Efficient CuO-nanoparticle-catalyzed C-S cross-coupling of thiols with iodobenzene

摘要
Cheap but good: Readily available CuO nanoparticles are not only less expensive than other catalysts used for the C-S cross-coupling of thiols with aryl halides, but they are also effective at a moderate temperature and low concentration. The title reaction proceeds with a variety of alkyl and aryl thiols to give the corresponding sulfides in high yields (see scheme). © 2007 Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA.
