Phase stability and neutron diffraction studies of the laves phase compounds Zr(Cr1-xMOx)2 With 0.0≤x≤0.5 and their hydrides

摘要
Laves phase compounds Zr(Cr1-xMox)(2) with 0.0 less than or equal to x less than or equal to 0.5 were synthesized with the hexagonal C14 and/or cubic C15 type structures. By using X-ray and neutron powder diffraction the structure of the alloys were determined, acid in particular the sites for the 3 d metal substitution. The pressure composition(P-C) isotherms were determined over the temperature range 293-453 K. The effect of the M/Cr substitution was studied with regards to the alloys and hydrides stability and the maximum hydrogen content. (C) 2000 International Association for Hydrogen Energy.
