摘要
The development of light metal-based nanostructures has been attracting much attention due to the very significant improvement in mechanical properties produced by nanocrystallization of the amorphous phase. Nanostructured composites of this type can be produced if the crystallization process occurs in two stages at significantly different temperatures. In the present work, we report on the thermal and mechanical nanocrystallization of Al90Fe5Nd5 which is a new amorphous precursor. The nanocrystallization process has been studied by x-ray diffraction, DSC and electron microscopy.
