This panel summary presents the arguments for the formation of a Task Force within the Distribution System Analysis Subcommittee of the Power System Analysis Computing and Econonics Committee to develop a Recommended Practice for distribution system analysis. The purpose is to provide a basis in standards to harmonize the various methods used to support distribution planning without unnecessarily stifling innovation. Interested industry practitioners are invited to participate.
