Theory of fluorescence yield spectra of rare earth oxides at 3d threshold region

摘要
We analyze fluorescence yield spectra of rare earth oxides at 3d threshold region by means of ionic model with full multiplet, effects. The calculation is based on the second-order optical formula, and the effect of the polarization of incident and emitted X-rays is taken into account. The calculated results are in satisfactory agreement with recent experimental data. The difference between fluorescence yield spectra and 3d X-ray absorption spectra is explained.
