A quantum-mechanical calculation of differential and integral cross sections for the F + D-2(nu = 0,j = 0,1,2) --> DF(nu'j') + D reaction has been performed using the ab initio potential energy surface of Stark and Werner. The hyperspherical method has been used and results have been obtained at two collision energies (90 and 140 meV). Bimodal rotational distributions for backward scattering and a forward scattering for nu' = 4 have been Found, in semi-quantitative agreement with recent crossed beam experiments.
