摘要
A laser induced vaporisation mass spectrometry (LIV-MS) facility has been developed. The primary motivation for building this system is to generate data on the equation of state of refractory materials; in particular, measurement of vapour pressure of reactor fuel materials at ultra high temperatures (3000-5000 K), which is a key variable in predicting the consequences of hypothetical core disruptive accident.
