(Figure Presented) Stuck on you. A new molecular glue (TD) was found to induce hybridization at sequences that contained up to three contiguous base mismatches. The function of TD could be terminated by thermal and irreversible conversion. This thermal conversion allowed us to control DNA hybridization/denaturation. This method of turning DNA hybridization on and off was applied to controlling gold nanoparticle assembly (see figure). © 2007 Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA.
