This paper is based on the session discussing special issues of "Measurement in Longitudinal Studies" at the International Conference on Consumption Measures and Models for Use in Policy Development and Evaluation, May 12-14, 1997 in Bethesda, MD. The session chair was Kaye M. Fillmore; and presenters were Thomas Harford, Bryan Johnstone, Paul Lemmens, Robin Room, Anders Romelsjo, and John Searles.
