Chiral perturbation theory for tau->rho pi nu(tau), tau->K* pi nu(tau), and tau->omega pi nu(tau)

摘要
We use heavy vector meson SU(2)(L)XSU(2)(R) chiral perturbation theory to predict differential decay distributions for tau-->rho pi nu(tau) and tau-->K* pi nu(tau) in the kinematic region where p(V).p(pi)/m(V) (here V = rho or K*) is much smaller than the chiral symmetry-breaking scale. We also predict the rate for tau-->omega pi nu(tau) in this region (now V = omega). Comparing our prediction with experimental data, we determine one of the coupling constants in the heavy vector meson chiral Lagrangian.
