摘要
The results of comparative internal friction (IF) investigation of a Zr-based metallic glass prepared in the bulk and ribbon forms are presented. It is shown that absolute values and temperature alterations of the IF and normalized modulus during heating of bulk and ribbon samples are fairly similar. This fact indicates that change of the quenching rate by three to four orders of magnitude either does not affect the amount of the free volume frozen in or the relaxation centres responsible for the relaxation behavior are not connected with the free volume.
