摘要：

Fluorodeoxyglucose-PET (FDG-PET) has become an important imaging modality in daily practice in oncology. FDG, however, is not tumor-specific and can accumulate in a variety of nonmalignant lesions. A limited but gradually increasing number of publications has shown the potentials of FDG-PET in the detection of infection and inflammation.
