Synthesis of lithium silicate tritium breeder powders by a modified combustion method

摘要
Li2SiO3 was prepared using a modified combustion method; the precursors used were LiOH, SiO2H2O and urea. We studied different LiOH:SiO2H2O:CH4N2O molar ratios and the effect of the furnace heating temperature. We found that LiOH:SiO2H2O:CH4N2O molar ratios 3:13 and 3:1:6 heated at 650degreesC during 5 min were the adequate conditions to produce Li2SiO3. (C) 2003 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
