A novel method for preparing copper nanorods and nanowires

摘要
Copper nanorods and nanowires which can be prepared through vacuum vapor deposition were shown. It was observed that the novel approach was easy to set up and was low in cost and high in yield. The copper nanorods and nanowires prepared through this new method were long, uniform in diameter, and free of defects. While a carbon film was a good substrate for copper vapor deposition, it was found that the favorite sites for copper deposition and re-nucleation were the edges of the holes in the carbon film, where the surface was relatively rough.
