Phase transitions in NaLiWO4 ceramics

A polycrystalline sample of NaLiWO4 was prepared by the high-temperature solid-state reaction technique. Preliminary X-ray studies of the compound at room temperature suggest the formation of a single phase compound. Detailed studies of the dielectric constant (epsilon) and loss (tan delta) as a function of frequency (400 Hz to 10 kHz) at room temperature and temperature (-160 to 250 degrees C) at 10 kHz show that NaLiWO4 undergoes two successive phase transitions at T-c1 = -14 degrees C and T-c2 = +80 degrees C which were confirmed by polarization studies of the compound.
