摘要：

In 1992, New York Power Authority (NYPA) and other Empire State Electric Energy Research Corporation (ESEERCO) member utilities initiated the deployment of a synchronized measurement network using phasor measurement technology on the New York State high-voltage transmission system. Recently, NYPA initiated a project in which phasor data will be brought into the energy management system (EMS) in real-time and used as input to a state estimator that is being developed, thereby improving the performance of the estimator which acts as the backbone of other EMS applications. The current and future status of the measurement network are presented with its harmonics measurement, disturbance monitoring, and geomagnetically-induced current monitoring functions.
