摘要
A model of an extended version of the age period cohort (APC) model is proposed for analysing (age, period)-tabulated data on mortality of some chronic diseases. Estimable functions of the parameters in the proposed model for ML estimation are elucidated, and the result of fitting the proposed model to the data on breast cancer mortality for females in the U.S. is shown, where it is seen that the proposed model provides a better fit to the data than APC model in terms of AIC.
