In the Summer of 1995, the Confederation of European Aerospace Societies (CEAS), comprising the national Aerospace Societies of France (AAAF), Germany (DGLR), Italy (AIDAA), the Netherlands (NVvL), Spain (AIAE) and the United Kingdom (RAeS) formed the CEAS-Aeroacoustics Specialists' Committee (ASC). This Committee is to serve and support the scientific and industrial aeroacoustics community in Europe. Here "Acoustics" is to encompass all aerospace acoustics and related areas. Each year the Committee will highlight some of the research and development activities in Europe. This is the report on the 1996 highlights. (C) Elsevier, Paris.
