摘要
Although most recurrent fevers in children are due to frequent viral and/or bacterial infections, in those who have periodic fevers without clear etiology, the clinician should consider the hereditary autoinflammatory syndromes. These rare syndromes are characterized by recurrent episodes of seemingly unprovoked inflammation. They are a unique group of diseases with permanent genetic defects but intermittent clinical manifestations. Systemic amyloidosis is the major complication for some of these disorders.
