Nuclear data for gamma ray astronomy and the cosmochemistry of isotopic anomalies

摘要
The Al-26 nucleus is of prime interest both for gamma ray astronomy (observation of its 1.809 MeV line) and for the cosmochemistry of isotopic anomalies (anomalous Mg-26 abundances in some meteorites). It is thus important to improve the nuclear data involved in Al-26 nucleosynthesis. For instance, we discuss here the modes of Al-26 destruction and in particular its beta-decay through off-equilibrium thermal population of the lowest lying levels. Available nuclear data are used to improve the estimates for this mode of destruction.
