摘要
Real-time forms of technology online are creating new ways to detect and track emerging disease threats, even weak signals from diverse areas. At NEJM.org, an interactive map based on data from more than 87,000 reports obtained from both informal and official sources helped track the 2009 H1N1 pandemic. Interactive graphics also show the worldwide spread of H1N1 virus. Copyright © 2010 Massachusetts Medical Society. All rights reserved.
