摘要
Mn2+-doped CdS nanocrystals capped by different organic materials show a bright luminescence with a quantum yield of up to 60%. In EPR, beside the usual 6 line hyperfine pattern of manganese, rather intense forbidden transitions and an underlying structureless resonance line are observed. ENDOR measurements on several parts of the EPR spectra revealed the existence of a quadrupole interaction of the Mn2+ which probably is due to surface charges. In addition, resonances due to the nuclei of the capping material are observed, to some extent due to the distant ENDOR mechanism, to another due to dipolar interaction with Mn ions. Since the ratio of these two contributions varies between the broad and the sharp spectrum, conclusions with respect to the distribution of the manganese ions inside the nanoparticles can be drawn.
