摘要：

In this study, miscibility between poly(2,6-dimethyl-1,4-phenylene ether), PPE, and poly(styrene-co-methacrylic acid), P(S-co-MAA), is investigated by DSC, optical microscopy, and infrared spectroscopy. PPE is immiscible with P(S-co-MAA) when MAA content is higher than 7.2 mol%. The immiscibility seems to be caused by dimerization of MAA units.
