Paroxetine is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) approved for the treatment of depression, panic disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder and social phobia. A few cases of acute angle-closure glaucoma after the administration of paroxetine have been reported.(1-5) We describe a case of bilateral acute angle-closure glaucoma in a patient with plateau iris configuration that presented 2 months after initiation of paroxetine therapy.
