A semi-active suspension of passenger cars using fuzzy reasoning and the field testing

摘要
This paper presents the construction of a semi-active suspension of passenger cars using fuzzy reasoning and the field test. The model of the passenger car is described by a nonlinear system with seven degrees of freedom subject to irregular excitation from a road surface. Measuring the suspension travel at every sampling instant, the stage of the damping force of the semiactive suspension is switched by using the fuzzy reasoning. The effectiveness of the proposed semi-active suspension is verified by comparing with the passive suspension in the simulation study and the field test.
