Single crystals of La2-xMxCuO4 (M = Ca, Sr, Ba) were grown by the TSFZ method with an infrared heating furnace. In the TSFZ growth of La2-xMxCuO4, the Sr content was controlled within a wide range as compared with the other dopants. The La2-xMxCuO4 grown crystals had high quality with a sharp superconducting transition. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science B.V.
