摘要
In this paper a high energy, tunable nanosecond laser system in the region of 6 pm is introduced. The laser contains three units. Via a difference frequency mixing IR-light at about 2.6 mum is generated, in a subsequent optical parametric amplifier process signal and idler at about 2.6 and 1.8 mum are produced, respectively. In the third unit the IR-light about 6 mum is produced by a difference frequency mixing of signal and idler in an AgGaSe2 crystal. The spectral bandwidth of the IR laser is better than 0.1 cm(-1) and a laser energy of at least 1 mJ (at 10 ns pulse length) can be achieved. The laser is ideally suited to record IR spectra in the region of C=O stretching and NH bending vibrations. (C) 2004 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
