Multiple isoparametric finite element method for nonhomogeneous media

摘要
The concept of isoparametric transformation is adopted for simulating the variations of the material properties in individual finite elements. The multiple isoparametric finite element formulation developed was verified to be very effective for analyzing nonhomogeneous materials with continuously varying properties. The examples used to verify the method are presented.
